Physicality vs Digital
Following on from the previous theme based on Heterotopia, this new concept will revolve around the new digital world we are experiencing in the current era. This concept will identify how we have responded to the Covid-19 Pandemic in the name of Heterotopia. Arguably, physical and tangeable features of this era have become digitalised, influencing our way of life.
The method of temperature checking has evolved through technology

These masks and bottle of disinfectant are common items which are seen in the new technoligical age.
|
Also during this era, the new norm is to totally cover with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like the at the Dentist shown in this sketch.
|
A very good example of our technological response to the Heterotopia we live in. Witnessed at a Tavern, smartphones were required to scan QR codes to order from the menu.

,Over half way through the animation process my printing ink was running out. The only way to mass produce another dozen lino-prints was to use the photo-scanner on the Cannon printer.
|
Again this is a digitalised method combined with a physical specimen of art itself. Technology has subconsciously become a problem solving tool.
|
Throughout the process of stop-animation, I had to continuously photograph one lino-print at a time which also involved editing with props.
In total there were 3 stop-animation films, which were trial and error as I went along. There were some issues along the way such as brightness and contrast varied, although this was remedied. |
